You must always start from the Vanaheim Launcher (green icon)

This can be solved in two ways: • Change your client compatibility mode to Windows 8 • Check whether your antivirus deleted the server client Recommendation: create a folder and add it to your antivirus exclusions (especially Windows Defender and Avast, which tend to cause issues)

This can happen for several reasons. Try these solutions from simplest to most advanced: • Keep the server on the C: drive, add exclusions for the client (vanaheim.exe) and launcher (vanaheim_ro.exe), then restart your PC • Configure screen resolution and graphics adapter using Open Setup

Check the following: • Make sure both are configured to run as administrator • Add the Vanaheim folder to your antivirus exclusions and restart

If the client starts crashing, you can fix it by installing: • VC_redist.x86.exe (2017) • VC_redist.x86.exe (2015) For missing files: • Install VisualCppRedist_AIO_x86only.exe For DirectX issues: • Install dxwebsetup.exe For error 0xc00007b: • Check the GeekTech video tutorial (courtesy of Dioky)

This error can happen because our new client uses DX9 when playing in fullscreen. Solutions: • Use borderless window mode • Switch to DX7
